Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Your settings, custom starter recordings, reaction results, stopwatch preferences, competition presets, and session history are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to a RaceCue server. Removing the app or clearing its storage may permanently delete this information.

Camera and torch

Camera access is optional and is used for Start Detection, Start Video, and, on supported phones, rear-camera torch start signals. Detection frames are processed live on the device. When you enable Start Video, a temporary local recording is created for preview and can be saved only when you choose Save. RaceCue does not use face recognition or upload camera content.

Microphone

Microphone access is optional and is used when you record custom starter commands and, where available, to include starter audio in Start Video. Custom voice recordings remain in the app's local storage and can be deleted from the recording screen. Start videos are not uploaded by RaceCue.

Motion sensors

Motion-sensor access is optional and is used to detect movement around the start signal for training feedback. RaceCue does not use GPS location. Raw motion readings are processed in real time and are not uploaded.

Purchases

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. RaceCue does not receive your card or bank details. The relevant store may provide a transaction identifier and entitlement status so the app can unlock and restore Premium access.

Sharing and tracking

The RaceCue app does not sell personal information, track you across other apps or websites, or share training data with advertisers. The app currently has no user account, cloud sync, advertising network, or developer-operated analytics service.

Website analytics and cookies

The racecue.app website uses Google Analytics 4 only when you choose Allow analytics. It helps RaceCue understand aggregate website visits, popular pages, device and browser types, and approximate geographic information. Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies and send website-use information to Google. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad-personalisation signals remain disabled.

Analytics storage is denied by default. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so the website can remember it. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through Cookie choices in the page footer. Choosing No thanks removes RaceCue Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits. The RaceCue iPhone and Android apps do not use this website analytics tag.

Website support requests

If you choose to submit the support form, RaceCue receives the name, reply email address, topic, device details, and message you provide. Netlify processes and stores the submission on RaceCue's behalf so it can be reviewed and answered. This information is used only for support, feedback, and resolving the issue you report; it is not used for advertising or sold to third parties. Do not include payment details or private recordings.

Children

RaceCue does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent, guardian, coach, or club remains responsible for supervising device, camera, microphone, and training use by minors.

Your choices

You can decline camera, microphone, or motion permission and continue using features that do not need that permission. You can remove custom voices and session history inside the app. Unsaved start-video previews clear when the app session ends; videos you explicitly save can be removed through your device's Files or Photos app. Removing RaceCue and its data clears the remaining local information.

Policy changes and contact

This policy may be updated if RaceCue changes its website analytics or adds services such as optional cloud features. The current version and date will remain available on this page. Questions and requests to remove a support submission can be sent through the RaceCue support page.
